It is very difficult to predict how the events of the next few weeks and months will unfold but it is clear that we need a strong community spirit to stay connected, safe and well. This is particularly important for the elderly, people who are sick, people living alone or anyone who is anxious about the situation. We have a three-point action plan for Marksbury based on some of the Government's best practice.

Staying Connected

We encourage you to sign-up to the village Whatsapp group so that you can share information, ask for / offer help. To sign-up to Whatsapp text Rob on 07540 469984 (if you don’t have access to Whatsapp, please complete and return the form that was issued inside the latest newsletter or print it here). We will also keep this website and noticeboard up to date with the latest community information. You can also follow our Facebook Page

Offering Help

It goes without saying that it would be nice for everyone to keep in touch with their neighbours. If you would like to offer help to others, please let us know by emailing your details to or completing the form in the newsletter and placing in the MVH postbox attached to the front of the hall. We will do our best to match you with someone who needs assistance when they need it via our Whatsapp Covid-19 Taskforce group.

By help, we mean collecting groceries, medicines; offering a friendly phone call; being available in emergencies etc.

Seeking Help

If you are worried about how you might manage if you get sick or if there is a ‘lock-down’ complete the form in the newsletter and drop it into the MVH post box or email We will collate your details and then pass a series of names and contact numbers to you so you will always have help at hand. (Concerning our use of personal data, please refer to our GDPR Policy, stated here).

Please do not be shy - if you think you might need help over the next few weeks or months, tell us so that we can help you to get help.

Please contact us if you would like to have a regular event mentioned here.
